The Prologue of Lynn

So, I give you the prologue of my newest writing project, Lynn. Enjoy. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

With black long hair and thin almond blue eyes, and a complexion of tanned camel, I sat alone in the shadows. Hoping for something better. Lynn was my name. I had no family to call my own. Society was my wristwatch. I wrote this story not to show my accomplishments or to be famous. I wrote this to show that everyone is broken and ripped by the tide.

It was a shallow day. Clouded by the eternal darkness within. Overcome by the past thoughts of my selfish acts. Acts of wickedness flying back at me. Scars were my only comfort. Reminding me that everything will be ok. I slept once again on the pillar of salt that my ancestors created for themselves.

My rotting body laid waste for every bird to devour. It felt best to die in the darkness than the light. Darkness was the home of my soul. It felt as though I lived there for eternity. I can remember the first day I became part of society. Lost in the light. Persuaded soon by keepers of the gate. I hoped for a better life but I only found regret.

I hoped that being part of this world would make me a better person. Instead I was cursed of my birth, my rights, and my being. I was forced to play the part. Just imagining the part made me sick. I felt out of the place. I was distinguished before becoming my true flame. I was barren before I was fruitful.

I ran for dear life down the maze of confusion. Out of nowhere, men pulled my hair. My own flesh could feel the misery coming. I tried to jerk free but my own determination failed me. They rubbed their hands on my face. They looked at their hands. Their hands were fifthly by the sins of my life. They cursed at me. Cursing me of my existence. Tears fell from my face. I was ashamed. I was bounded by chains of shame. Beaten by the mistakes of the past.

By daybreak, I was tied to a chair. I tried to cry for help but they constrained by mouth with a cloth. My body ached for the grave. They spat at me. Hoping to break the bonds of my rights. They tore my clothing. I felt naked in defeat. I hoped for someone or something to save me but none came.

My own soul hated me. My body began to wither away. My mind became a pit of despair. My thoughts swallowed me up. Falling deeper and deeper into a bottomless pit. Screams of hatred broke my eardrums. My skin became bruised by the drums of false love. I despised the words of love. How could they leave me alone? Not a flicker of light couldn’t save me.

One by one they left me. Shattered by truth and lies. Hopeless and cursed for the days ahead.

The plague of wanderlust

Have you experienced that great urge to travel? Imagining your toes between the sands of a foreign beach? Ziplining through the forbidden jungle? I know I can’t be the only one. The only problem is that you are broke. Or have no idea where to begin? Me, too.

Since I have no idea where to begin. Let me explain. One of my dreams is to become a world traveler. A very unrealistic dream, I know. Even a travel blogger would be nice but still clueless about what God’s plan for me is; I just had to be content with what I have right in front of me.

^ .^ this picture is so cool. It would make a cool travel tattoo. But enough of that. I am getting off topic.

I have decided to mention several places where I hope to travel to since visiting every country is unrealistic. Unless somehow, I become a bestseller author which still seems impossible.

Readers: Its still off topic.

Me: Fine.

One of the first travel experiences, I hope to have is to go to Nashville, Tennessee. If you know me, I love country music. The Grand Old Opry, Country Hall of Fame, Parthenon,  Music City Tiny House etc. You get the idea.

The Grand Ole Opry, an American icon and Nashville, Tennessee’s number-one attraction, is world-famous for creating one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences for audiences of all ages.  The Grand Ole Opry promotes the music of everyone from senior citizens Jimmy Dickens and Jean Shepard to hotshot youngsters Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins and Brad Paisley. This multi-generational approach has served the show well for more than 80 years. It is one reason why the Opry can say with pride that it is "Th(image from Pinterest)

I really want to go to the Redwood forest. Its another dream of mine. I actually got a brochure from them after doing an assignment from my English textbook, Rod, and Staff.

Bali, Indonesia (want to go) Don't forget when traveling that electronic pickpockets are everywhere. Always stay protected with an Rfid Blocking travel wallet. for more information. #igogeer(image from Pinterest)

Of course, I pick one of most expensive places to go, Japan and no its not because of Pokemon. Ok, maybe it is.

How to impress a girl

Since Valentine’s day is just around the corner, I decided to give you advice on how to impress a girl. Share this with all dudes.  It’s for your safety, men.

1) Please don’t call a girl hot. She is not a temperature. She is human. Show some respect.

2) Girls have to be modest. Doesn’t mean you have to be immodest. Be modest in your clothing choices.

3) When talking to a girl, don’t talk about yourself. Let her know that you care about her needs too.

4) Don’t be afraid to talk with the girl’s friends. Even if what they are talking about makes no sense.

5) Be respectful to other people.

6) Don’t be ugly to other people in front of her.

7) Use common sense.

8) If you think you are going to have a future with a girl, show her that you can handle kids. Hang out with kids.

9) Be honest. Please if you like her, tell her. Please. I am begging you.

10) Whatever you do, don’t respond negatively if a girl asks you, “Do I look fat in his dress?” or “Do I look pretty” or whatever. Unless you really want your eyeballs to be scratched out.

11) Never compare women with other women. If you do, you can say goodbye to that girl.

12) Never ever talk about your ex, or girls you used to like. Just don’t go there.

13) Finally never, ever, never, ever, etc. Tell a girl that she dresses like your mom. Not to be rude but just don’t do it. Or you can say goodbye forever.

Valentines Day

The dreaded month is here. February, the month of love. February 14th where single people hide in the shadows avoiding all stores, restaurants, movies, and any place really. Where people get engaged, where weddings happen, where relationships begin. Oh, this thing we call love. We honestly hate that day. Why? It really is a holiday to separate the singles and couples.

Me: Just another day…

Person: Happy Valentine’s day!

Me: *facepalm* Dang it. I forgot its Valentine’s day.

Person: So how are you celebrating Valentine’s day?

Me: At home

Person: With your boyfriend?

Me: No.

Person: I thought you had a boyfriend.

Me: Nope, rocking that single life.

That example was cliche but I am sure someone has been asked this.

This video just made my day.

My plan for Valentine’s day is to avoid all human interaction. Stay at home and do normal stuff. (writing, reading, Netflix)

Do you like Valentine’s Day and what are you going to do to celebrate the day?

A Reminder (A poem of mine)

People call me weird.
People judge

When one shouldn’t judge others.
Like a mannequin on display
I stand there
Waiting, hoping for their approval.
Where there should be none.

Your life should not be surrounded by the world.

Your life is your life.

Given by God.

Don’t wait for someone to let you live.

Live for yourself.

Don’t change your body

So that you are loved by others.

Be yourself.

Rock your style.

You are worthy.

Don’t be afraid of the wolves

Hidden in the crowds.

Be fearless.

Stand tall.

You are worthy.

Thanks for reading. 🙂

New Writing Project

So the last few posts, I have mentioned I was working on the second book of a series I am writing. But currently, I have closed that writing project since difficulties I have occurred.  Mainly because I want to write in a different genre. Or really because I might have to rewrite the story all over again.

Either way, I started a new book. I plan on publishing as an ebook. It’s a contemporary mystery. The story is for an older audience since there is mentioning of tattoos, drinking, and human tracking.  If you are interested in reviewing it, let me know.

This story was actually based on a short story I wrote called Cursed. It is mainly about how society destroys a woman’s perspective of herself. Sometimes leading to self-harm and on occasion, suicidal thoughts.

Lynn, the main protagonist is a high school drop out. After suffering from self-harm, self-abuse, and suicidal thoughts.  The story begins ten months later, after coming out of rehab.
The synopsis of the story is:
When one of Lynn’s friends disappears, she begins to track down her. Soon to discover a scandalous organization is behind all of it. Slowly killing each leader of the pack, she discovers her life is more threated. Will she protect her friends or will she be the next victim?
Tell me your thoughts in the comments down below.
