And now for the interview. Comment down below who I should interview next.

What inspired you to start writing?

Victoria: I have always loved to write, even from a young age. I have always loved to read and I have a very active imagination, so creating my own stories didn’t really take much convincing.

What books have influenced you?

Victoria: Anything by Louisa May Alcott, L. M. Montgomery, Isabella Alden and Gene Stratton Porter really shaped my literary mind early on.

Tell us about your writing process and the way you brainstorm your ideas.

Victoria: Well, that’s a tough one because I don’t really have a hugely organized “method” I usually start off with writing a “back of the book” type of synopsis, then work on character sketches and backstory, outline, then, if it’s something intense, I will plot it a little more in detail. Often times, brainstorming consists of turning on some epic soundtrack music and sitting alone somewhere with a candle if I can and really getting down into it.

What was the hardest thing about writing this book?

Victoria: Trying to keep it short. I love my words and everything I touch seems to turn into a novel or a series. I really needed something to flow and to be short, so, keeping this story cohesive while still making it novella/novelette length was definitely a challenge.

What was the easiest thing about writing this book?

Victoria: The characters. They just became themselves and I adored every one. ❤

What can we learn from reading this book?

Victoria: I hope that everyone who reads it takes away that they are beautiful in God’s eyes and sometimes what we think might be a flaw or weakness in our personalities, God can use to bring glory to His name.
